disruptive x-ray technologies
Sigray, Inc. is a San Francisco Bay Area company founded by Dr. Wenbing Yun and Ms. Sylvia Lewis to develop advanced and completely new approaches to x-ray technology. Through major ground-breaking innovations, Sigray has developed numerous patented and patent-pending x-ray components and systems to match what is possible at the synchrotron. Their x-ray technology products are now sold globally and have been installed in Asia, America, and Europe.
Dr. Yun previously founded the X-ray microscope company Xradia, Inc. in 2000, which grew rapidly to over 100 employees and was acquired by Carl Zeiss in July 2013. He is an Optical Society of America (OSA) fellow, elected for his contributions to and leadership in x-ray microscopy, and has received four prestigious R&D 100 awards for his work on development of x-ray microscopes.
The growing team is currently comprised of domain experts with extensive cumulative experience in x-ray source, optics, and instrumentation development. This team includes former synchrotron beamline and synchrotron scientific program leaders, an x-ray source expert who previously led the design of many major pioneering x-ray sources, and x-ray optics specialists who designed and produced some of the highest efficiency, highest resolution x-ray optics in the world.
